Shikakai — the original Indian hair-wash.
Shikakai's name literally means 'fruit for the hair' — and the pod has been the principal Indian natural hair-cleanser for over a thousand years. Mildly acidic (pH ~4.5), naturally surfactant, gentle on the cuticle. Deseeded pods only — the seed is the most common cost-cutting tactic in commercial Shikakai.

How to use
External: mix 2 tablespoons with warm water into a paste, apply to wet hair, lather gently, rinse thoroughly.
A few things worth noting
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Avoid contact with eyes — flush with cool water if it gets in. Patch test before first use. Store dry, tightly closed.
